Economic Development Sales Tax Workshops

Economic Development Sales Tax Workshops are designed specifically for EDC Board Members and local elected officials of Type A and Type B Corporations. The workshops include information about economic and community development and recent changes to the Economic Development Sales Tax Law. Workshop attendees will receive Open Meetings Act and Public Information Act certification as a part of this course.

Basic Economic Development Courses
The Texas BEDC is offered two to three times per year. The BEDC will provide the participant with a comprehensive understanding of the keys of successful economic development. For those new to the profession, the BEDC is the first step toward professional certification. The BEDC is accredited by the International Economic Development Council (IEDC).
