Economic Development in Challenging Times: Creating a Path Forward
The TEDC's 2020 Annual Conference is October 5-9, 2020. We are going virtual with this year's annual conference. The program will be delivered over a five-day period and we will be utilizing a very interactive virtual event platform to enhance your conference experience. By stretching out the two and one-half day program to five days, the conference schedule will have shorter days and more breaks.
We have a great lineup of speakers, a program that will be include many panel discussions and interactive discussion forums, as well as exhibits, award recognition and networking opportunities. You don't want to miss this year's conference program and take advantage of hearing from leading economic development experts and peers.
The program includes 5 keynote presentations, 19 breakout sessions, 4 Peer Group Roundtables and 6 discussion forums on economic development. This year's program includes recognition of the recipients of the TEDC's 2020 Community Economic Development Award and TEDC's 2020 Workforce Excellence Award will be recognized during the conference.

This year's conference theme is Economic Development in Challenging Times: Creating a Path Forward. The program includes presentations on very important issues that economic developers are facing and will offer insight and direction on how to deal with those challenges and ways to move forward in a positive direction.
The program includes 5 keynote presentations, 19 breakout sessions, 4 Peer Group Roundtables and 6 discussion forums. The recipients of the 2020 Community Economic Development Award and the 2020 Workforce Excellence Award will be recognized and a session on "Preparing for the 87th Texas Legislative Session" will be Friday morning.
The five-day schedule is designed for a more user-friendly, virtual experience. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in as many sessions as they would like and will be able to be a part of interactive discussions with speakers and peers. There are multiple breaks in each day of the program to give attendees time to have one-on-one or group virtual meetings with each other and exhibitors.

All registrations are to be made online. Registrations will not be accepted by mail, email, telephone or fax. Payments in advance are encouraged, unless specified to be paid prior to the event. Invoices are required to be paid within 30 days following the event. Payments may be made in the form of check or online via credit card. Purchase orders will not be accepted as a form of payment.
All cancellations must be received in writing via email to TEDC staff. Cancellations received in writing on or before (10 business days), and which payment has been received, will be refunded via check following the event. All refunds will be charged a $35.00 administration cancellation fee. There will be no refunds for cancellations received after (10 business days). A registrant who does not submit a written cancellation or attend the event, is considered a No-Show and is not eligible for a refund. A registrant who does not submit a written notice of cancellation or attend the event is still responsible for the registration fee.
