Pflugerville Community Development Corp. Executive Director Amy Madison Appointed to International Economic Development Council Board

On January 1, 2020, Amy Madison, Executive Director of The Pflugerville Community Development Corporation (PCDC), will begin her first two-year term on the Board of Directors of the International Economic Development Council (IEDC), the largest economic development professional organization in the world. She was appointed to the board during the IEDC’s 2019 Annual Conference in October and will be representing more than 5,000 members in her new role.

Under Madison’s leadership, the PCDC was designated as one of less than 70 Accredited Economic Development Organizations in the world. Madison oversees a staff of five, including three who have completed basic economic development course and are working toward their certification in economic development.

Madison has served the PCDC since January 2014, overseeing recruitment, expansions projects, land sales, infrastructure projects and leases in the 130 Commerce Center, a 167-acre industrial park being developed by the PCDC. More recently, the PCDC achieved accreditation as an economic development organization (AEDO) from the International Economic Development Council.

Before joining the PCDC, Madison served six years as CEO of the Greater San Marcos Partnership (GMSP), and prior to that, served seven years as economic development director for the City of Schertz.

Madison received a bachelor’s degree from Phillips University and completed a master’s degree at the University of Oklahoma. She is an OU Economic Development Institute graduate, a Certified Economic Development Professional (CEcD), a Certified Economic Development Finance Professional (EDFP), Economic Development Master Practitioner (EDMP) and a Certified Public Manager (CPM). She is a member of International Asset Management Council, TeamTexas, Texas One, Opportunity Austin, Texas Economic Development Council where she also serves as a board member, CleanTX, the A-T Children’s Project (ATCP) along with her new board position and membership in IEDC.
