Organization
Cisco Economic Development Corporation
It is with a variety of mixed emotions that today I am publicly announcing my plan to retire my position at the two Cisco economic development corporations.
In spite of a few misguided annoyances, my time with the organizations has truly been the most rewarding position I have experienced during my nearly 50 years of management experience. The ride has been terrific! And the people that I have had the pleasure to work with, our Boards of Directors, the Cisco City Councils and the vast majority of the citizenry have truly been a tremendous blessing. I have witnessed a rare and heartwarming revitalization to a small and exceptional rural community that few have had the honor and pleasure to witness. I am so thankful that the citizens of Cisco have voted to maintain the organizations, thereby assuring an ever-improving economic atmosphere and future for our wonderful community.
We will begin the process by initiating a search for my replacement by the targeted date of April 1st, 2020. During that time frame, if you are not familiar with what our organizations do, please accept my invitation to come visit our office at 701 Conrad Hilton Boulevard and allow me to show you our “project board”, expound on some of our history and accomplishments, share our vision for the future and answer any questions you have may have about us.
I am so grateful for the support we have received during my eleven plus years as Executive Director. You have made my stay so enjoyable and it will never be forgotten.
Respectfully and appreciatively,
John Diers
