DCOA to take Project ISO before City Council for secondary approval
Abilene, Texas – The local expansion project classified as Project ISO was presented to the Development Corporation of Abilene’s Board on Friday, March 27, 2020 for approval. The company behind Project ISO is an Abilene-based manufacturing company which produces precision parts for several industries including, Aero Space Aviation, Automotive, and Medical.
To enable their growth, the company is purchasing an existing facility in Abilene to serve as their new headquarters and manufacturing facility. The company is projected to invest $12 million in the purchase of the building, renovation, and additional equipment. This new facility will enable the company to maintain their current workload, while building additional capacity for new contracts.
The Development Corporation of Abilene’s Board approved an economic development package for Project ISO. Economic development packages are commitments of support on behalf of the community to enable existing companies to successfully create new jobs and continue to invest in Abilene. This economic development package will require secondary approval by the City Council at their next meeting on April 9th, 2020.
The full details of Project ISO, and the associated economic development package will be made public at the April 9th City Council meeting.
