New Employee Announcement

On behalf of the Partnership, the Economic Development Division is pleased to welcome the return of Craig Rhodes to the Regional Economic Development (RED) Team. Craig will fill the role of Senior Director and work on a variety of items related to domestic recruitment and attraction projects.

Most recently an employee of CenterPoint Energy, Craig had multiple economic development roles including that of Manager and Regional Consultant. During his tenure with the Utility, Craig oversaw the economic development efforts to attract industry to the region by leading a team of associates, developing strategic plans and initiatives, and focusing on headquarter and logistics-related project responses.

Some at the Partnership may know Craig best from his time in both MED and EDD a few years back. Widely recognized as a hard-working colleague, in just three years on the RED Team, Craig’s work resulted in the location of 25 new projects which created more than 8,000 jobs and $3.3 Billion dollars in capital investment for Greater Houston.
