BOERNE KENDALL COUNTY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION ANNOUNCES NEW EXECUTIVE BOARD OFFICERS

March, 31, 2021 BOERNE, TX—The Boerne Kendall County Economic Development Corporation (BKCEDC) hosted its Annual Investors’ Luncheon on March 31, 2021 at The Bevy Hotel. Approximately 50 BKCEDC Investors and guests attended the luncheon which featured Dr. Art Markman, Executive Director of the IC2 Institute at the University of Texas at Austin, as the keynote speaker.

The Boerne Kendall County Economic Development Corporation also announced its Officers of the Board of Directors for the upcoming year. Bill Hetherington of BEC will serve as Chair, Mark Keator, of Happy State Bank as the Vice Chair, Phil Hunke, of Hill Country Square as Secretary, Jonathan Collins, of Valcor Commercial Real Estate as Treasurer, and Kathy Estes as Immediate Past-Chair.

The BKCEDC is a 501(c)(6) public-private organization that is supported by the City of Boerne, Kendall County, and over 70 private businesses. The Mission of the BKCEDC is “to promote business opportunities that will strengthen and grow a vibrant and diverse economic future for Kendall County.”

This past year the EDC completed its 5-year strategy plan in collaboration with Planet Texas 2050 and the IC2 Institute and is targeting its efforts to attract businesses in 5 key industries: Advanced Manufacturing & Construction Projects, Agri-Tech, Biosciences and Pharmaceuticals, Design & Build Professional Services, and Wineries, Distilleries & Breweries.
