Lavon EDC to build demonstration building

The Lavon EDC has purchased a commercial site along Main Street and begun the architectural drawings for a mixed used demonstration project. The building will be a demonstration of how a turn of the century architectual style building may be used to stimulate similar two story buildings along Main Street rather than the 1 story strip center . The demonstration effort is to stimulate further retail development along Main Street (Business Rout 78) where none now exist.

Pam Mundo of Mundo and Associates, Inc. says" this effort of the Lavon EDC is a unique opportunity to show the investment community how the ommunity desires this area to develop." Lavon EDC wants to avoid the one story strip center and to create a walkable commercial center for Lavon.
