Tongrun International is pleased to announce that we are expanding our North Texas manufacturing campus located in the city of Bonham & Fannin County. We are beginning construction on a 50,000 sq.ft warehouse and integration facility which will also be expandable to add an additional 50,000 sq.ft. should our customers hit their expected volumes in 2022. With this, we are significantly expanding our capital equipment capacity and this growth will increase our hiring needs as we plan to add an additional seventy-five (75) people to our Tongrun Team by the end of March 2022. Tongrun offers multiple benefits to our Team Member’s, and we are committed to establishing strong ties to the local community. We are thankful to the Bonham city leadership for their great support, and we look forward to continuing to positively impact our community.
The City of Bonham elected officials, BEDCo board & staff have worked tirelessly with an array of state, regional and community partners, allies, consultants, and service providers to help ensure seamless coordination between multiple agencies who have rallied to ensure this facility remains; highly productive, cost-competitive, and consistently turning-out a wide array of ‘world-class,’ sophisticated components, assemblies and finished products all “Made in Bonham, Texas, USA” to the exacting specifications of Tongrun International’s diverse customer base.
The Grayson College – Center for Workplace Learning merit special recognition for spearheading a Texas Skills Development Fund grant application for the Fannin County Manufacturers’ Consortium valued at an estimated $650,000 that will help defray the cost of enhanced skills training across our region’s workforce to meet this surge in manufacturing employment opportunities here in Bonham – central Fannin County. The Skill Development Fund is one of several vital workforce training resources funded by the State of Texas and managed by the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC). When fully implemented this will be the largest workforce training grant ever awarded in Fannin County!
Locally, in response to Tongrun International’s customers request the City of Bonham in partnership with Bonham Economic Development Corporation (BEDCo) and Bonham-based Whitlock Air Service, Inc. are greatly accelerating plans to add jet fuel (‘Jet-A’) availability in addition to 100LL AVGAS already available at Jones Field Airport (F00).
