Landis Adams brings a strong Business Retention and Expansion, as well as, a vast experience in marketing to the City of Dickinson. Adams has over 20 years of marketing and business experience and will be a great addition to the team. In Brazoria County, working for the Brazoria County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Adams worked on the successful sister city agreement between the City of Freeport and Tamaulipas, Mexico, marketing campaigns, small business development, business retention & expansion of many businesses, grant programs, and workforce initiatives. Prior to the BCHCC, Adams helped the City of Keene as the Economic Development Director, improve parks, develop chapter 380 agreements, increase sales tax and develop a strong community.

I am looking forward to helping Courtland Holman in leading DEDC and being part of the City of Dickinson’s team.” Adams added, I am eager to get involved in the community.”
About Dickinson Economic Development Corporation
The creation of Dickinson Economic Development Corporation was authorized by City Council on June 9, 1998, through Ordinance 347-98, with articles of incorporation approved the same day through Resolution 387-98. The Corporation is funded through the adoption of a sales and use tax pursuant to the provisions of Section 4B of the Development Corporation Act of 1979. The sales tax authorized by Section 4B, provides cities with a wide range of uses. It is intended to give communities an opportunity to undertake projects that improve the quality of life for the community. Section 4B tax can be used to fund projects that are considered community development initiatives such as purchase of land, buildings, equipment, and expenditures to improve facilities, parks, and entertainment venues.
