TEDC Announces Board Chair, New Board Members and Election of Board Treasurer (2022)

The Texas Economic Development Council (TEDC) at its Board Meeting on October 21, 2022, recognized Ray Dunlap as the 2023 Chair of the Board of Directors. Ray will serve as board chair effective October 21, 2022, through October 13, 2023. He has been a member of the TEDC’s Executive Committee since 2019.

The TEDC’s Nominating Committee put forth the six individuals for election to the TEDC’s board of directors. The TEDC’s board officially elected these new board members for terms beginning October 21, 2022:

• Justin Balderas, Levelland Economic Development Corporation

• Kevin Carter, Amarillo Economic Development Corporation;

• Marcos Delgado, Borderplex Alliance

• Christian Fletcher, Marble Falls Economic Development Corporation

• Misty Mayo, Development Corporation of Abilene

• Kevin Shatley, Dallas Regional Chamber.

Misty Mayo, CEO, Development Corporation of Abilene, was elected as Board Treasurer and is now in the rotation to be a future board chair of the Texas Economic Development Council.

The following board members were re-elected for another two-year term beginning October 21, 2022:

• Susan Cates, Brenham Economic Development Foundation;

• Gayle Cooper, Bonham Economic Development Corporation

• James Gentry, Crockett Economic Development Corporation

• Chester Jenke, Seguin Chamber of Commerce

• Scott Livingston, City of League City

• Matt Prochaska, Brazos Valley Economic Development Corporation

• Diana Torres

The following board members whose terms expired October 21, 2022, were recognized for their board leadership:

• Kevin Holzbog, Decatur Economic Development Corporation

• Tommy Kurtz, Jones Walker Consulting

• Lance LaCour, City of Granbury

• William Myers, Gainesville Economic Development Corporation

• Danielle Scheiner, Conroe Economic Development Corporation
