**Firehawk Aerospace Fires Next-Generation Hybrid Rocket Engine

Midland Company Qualifies Rocket Engine for Cheaper, More Capable Defense and Space Missions

Midland, TX: Earlier this week, Firehawk Aerospace Inc. performed the first firing of their next-generation hybrid rocket engine. The test was a complete success, running for an extended period of time at full throttle while their purpose-built test facility gathered performance data. Firehawk is new to the growing aerospace community in Midland and has stood up a full-featured test facility only 3 months after breaking ground. Firehawk’s proprietary design and manufacturing methods are aimed at providing the defense and space sectors with a full-featured, high performance rocket engine option that is much lower in cost to produce than traditional solid or liquid engines. Firehawk’s scalable hybrid engines can deeply throttle and be restarted multiple times, enabling a wide variety of missile defense and spaceflight mission options. This test was a milestone confirmation of their architecture and approach, and Firehawk will continue to increase the size and complexity of testing at this and other facilities throughout the year.
