WESLACO, TX. January 22, 2024 – The Economic Development Corporation of Weslaco (EDCW) is excited to announce the grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony of the Mid Valley International Industrial Park (MVIIP) located on FM 1015 (International Blvd.) and Mile 9 (Sugarcane Dr.). The event will take place on Friday, January 26, 2024, at 10:00 am, marking a significant milestone in Weslaco’s commitment to economic progress and development.
The EDCW offers businesses an attractive option for growth and expansion through its shovel-ready sites that come equipped with all necessary utilities. “This ready-to-go infrastructure can significantly accelerate the establishment or expansion of businesses, and provide them with a prime location to succeed,” says Steven Valdez, Executive Director for the EDC of Weslaco.
EDCW staff also announces that 30% of the property at the Industrial Park has been acquired by local, national, and international distribution companies. “This indicator highlights the strong business potential and investment opportunities available in Weslaco,” says Jerry Gonzalez, EDCW Board President, “and solidifies our reputation as the ‘distribution capital of the Valley’.”
