The Cibolo Economic Development Corporation (CEDC) is proud to announce the launch of the EDGE Grant Program—Economic Development for Growth & Enhancement—an innovative funding initiative designed to empower local small businesses through strategic physical improvements.
Created to support Cibolo’s ongoing commitment to economic vitality, the EDGE Grant Program offers reimbursement-based, matching grants of up to $15,000 for a variety of eligible enhancements to commercial properties. These enhancements include façade upgrades, signage, exterior construction, parking improvements, and more, all aimed at helping businesses improve curb appeal, attract customers, and strengthen their long-term success.
“Economic development is about removing roadblocks and encouraging growth in our community,” said Derek Ottman, CEDC Board Director, “The new EDGE grant developed by the CEDC gives our leaders the ability to help keep small businesses in Cibolo and bring new businesses to our community. This helps make Cibolo a great place to live, work, and now open a new business.”
Key Program Details:
Who is Eligible: Existing or new businesses located within Cibolo city limits, excluding those in the Old Town District or FM 78 Corridor.
Grant Amounts: Matching reimbursement grants up to 50% of total project costs, not to exceed $15,000 per address, per fiscal year.
Eligible Project Types: Façade renovations, new or improved signage, property improvements (lighting, driveways, parking), new construction, demolition of abandoned structures, and other special circumstance upgrades.
Application Cycle: Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and reviewed monthly. Funding is available on a first-come, first-served basis through the fiscal year ending September 30.
All improvements must comply with City ordinances and permitting requirements, and funding will only be disbursed upon verified project completion.
