33 new jobs created

Reinforcement of Abilene’s position as a manufacturing hub

Strong Return on Investment

  • For every $1.00 invested by the DCOA, Bavarian Polymers’ expansion project will return $510.45 in direct and indirect economic impact to the Abilene economy over 10 years once the expansion is complete.

“The rapid growth of Bavarian Polymers confirms that Abilene is a place where businesses succeed. When the DCOA attracts companies to Abilene, our goal is for them to grow, invest, and expand their operations for the long term. This expansion will drive new investment, increase dollars spent in our community, and diversify our economy. This is the kind of sustainable growth the DCOA is committed to securing for Abilene.”

Misty Mayo, President & CEO, Development Corporation of Abilene

“We chose Abilene because of the DCOA’s vision to support local companies, the quality of the existing workforce, and the opportunity to grow with like-minded companies. This expansion reflects our confidence in the market and the strength of the relationships we’ve built here.”

Ralph Weiss, President, Bavarian Polymers

“This project demonstrates the confidence we have in the future of Abilene and its ability to support world-class manufacturing. By nearly doubling our facility and expanding our production capacity, we are meeting growing demand while also investing in the people, partnerships, and community that make Abilene an ideal place for Bavarian Polymers to thrive.”

Robert Weishaeupl, Chief Executive Officer, Bavarian Polymers

“The DCOA’s dedication to building strong, lasting relationships is what makes expansions like this possible. We are proud to support businesses that choose Abilene and to partner with them as they grow and create opportunities for our community.”
