Modine Expansion to Bring More than 1,000 Jobs to Grand Prairie
Grand Prairie, TX (October 15, 2025) - The City of Grand Prairie is proud to announce that Modine, a diversified global leader in thermal management technology and solutions, has selected Grand Prairie for its newest advanced production and assembly facility.
Located at 2100 Refuge Way, the new, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility will produce highly efficient data center cooling equipment under the Airedale by Modine brand. Groundbreaking is planned for Q4 2025, with operations expected to begin in Q1 2026.
The project represents a significant economic investment in Grand Prairie, bringing more than 1,000 new jobs with an average annual wage of $66,760.
“Grand Prairie is pleased to welcome Modine to our community,” said Mayor Ron Jensen. “This investment not only creates hundreds of high-quality jobs and millions of dollars in new payroll, but it also strengthens North Texas as a hub for advanced manufacturing. We look forward to a long and successful partnership with Modine as they expand and thrive here in Grand Prairie.”
Modine cited several key advantages in selecting Grand Prairie for its new expansion, including the city’s strategic location in the heart of the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex, robust transportation infrastructure, proximity to DFW International Airport, access to a highly skilled local workforce supported by regional training programs, and the excellent relationship and collaboration with city staff throughout the process.
“Opening our new facility in Grand Prairie marks an exciting milestone in Modine’s growth journey,” said John Williams, Group Vice President, Data Centers, Americas at Modine. “This expansion not only enhances our ability to serve the rapidly evolving data center market with innovative Airedale by Modine cooling solutions, it also represents a meaningful investment in the local community and access to a new and talented workforce. We’re grateful to the City of Grand Prairie for their partnership and support, and we look forward to contributing to the region’s continued economic growth.”
Beyond direct job creation, Modine’s expansion is expected to deliver significant indirect benefits for the community, including increased demand for housing, hospitality, retail, and local services. This growth further reinforces Grand Prairie’s position as one of the fastest-growing cities in North Texas.
