Alton, Texas – November 21, 2025 — The City of Alton Economic Development Corporation (EDC)
is now a Kauffman FastTrac® affiliate, certified to facilitate the nationally recognized entrepreneurship program operated by the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation.
This certification marks a major milestone for the City of Alton as it continues to strengthen its commitment to supporting local entrepreneurs, small business owners, and innovators. Through the Kauffman FastTrac® program, Alton EDC will provide hands-on entrepreneurial education, tools, and mentorship to help participants start and grow successful businesses right here in Alton.
“Our focus has always been on empowering our local community,” said Ivan Gonzalez, CEO of the Alton Economic Development Corporation. “Becoming a certified Kauffman FastTrac® Affiliate allows us to offer world-class training opportunities that inspire entrepreneurship, create jobs, and build a stronger local economy for Alton.”
The Kauffman FastTrac® program operated by the Kauffman Foundation, is designed to equip aspiring and existing entrepreneurs with the business skills and insights, tools, resources, and peer networks necessary to start and grow successful businesses.
By hosting this program locally, Alton EDC is opening new doors for residents who want to turn their business ideas into reality and contribute to the city’s continued growth and innovation.
