Wiwynn Corporation Expands in the Borderplex Region with $275 Million Investment, Creating Two Thousand New Jobs

SOCORRO, Texas – August 21, 2026 – El Paso County, the City of Socorro, and the Borderplex Alliance are proud to announce that Wiwynn Corporation, a leading Taiwanese provider of cloud infrastructure, will invest $275 million to expand its server manufacturing and testing operations at the Socorro Logistics Center. The expansion will create two thousand new full-time jobs, bringing Wiwynn's total employment in Socorro to a projected 2,514 as operations scale up.
Wiwynn's current Socorro operation is progressing toward employing two thousand people. The announcement reflects the Borderplex Alliance's ongoing strategy to attract technology companies from Asia and nearshore their operations to the Borderplex region. With operations in El Paso and Ciudad Juárez, Mexico, Wiwynn's continued growth further establishes the region as a strategic center for advanced manufacturing and North American supply chains.

Wiwynn is a global leader in the design, manufacturing, and delivery of servers, storage systems, and networking equipment for cloud and AI infrastructure. The expanded facility at the Socorro Logistics Center in Socorro, Texas, will support growing demand for advanced computing and will play a key role in the company's operations worldwide.
