Another Aerospace and Defense Manufacturer Selects Cedar Park in $10M, 170-Job Expansion
Elite Metal Finishing's first central U.S. plant adds critical finishing capability to growing supply chain
Cedar Park’s growing aerospace and defense supply chain is gaining another specialized capability with plans by Elite Metal Finishing, LLC to establish its first manufacturing operation in the central United States, bringing an anticipated $10 million capital investment and 170 new full-time jobs to the community.
The Cedar Park City Council approved a performance-based economic development agreement with Elite Metal Finishing, an Oxnard, California-based company with additional operations in Florida. The company provides specialized plating, coating, thermal treatment, and testing services for commercial, military, and aerospace customers, with certified processes meeting military and aerospace specifications.
Under the agreement, Elite Metal Finishing will lease approximately 50,000 square feet of space at Cedar Tech I, create 170 full-time jobs with an average annual wage of approximately $60,000, and complete a $10 million investment in Cedar Park.
“What makes this announcement particularly exciting is how Elite Metal Finishing complements the advanced manufacturing companies choosing Cedar Park. Our City Council has strong ties to the military, with members who are veterans, military family members, or both. That connection brings a meaningful appreciation for the precision, reliability, and expertise required throughout the defense supply chain,” said Cedar Park Mayor Jim Penniman-Morin. “Bringing these specialized capabilities to Cedar Park creates new career opportunities for our residents while strengthening an ecosystem that can support the aerospace and defense companies of today and attract the industries of tomorrow.”
Elite Metal Finishing’s planned operation will expand access to specialized metal finishing services in Central Texas, bringing critical post-production capabilities closer to companies that manufacture components for aerospace, defense, and other advanced industries.
The company’s location at Cedar Tech I will place it alongside Machine Sciences Corporation, a precision CNC manufacturer, also planning operations at the development. Together, the companies bring complementary capabilities to Cedar Park, with precision manufacturing supported by specialized finishing, coating, treatment, and testing services.
“Elite Metal Finishing represents an important next step in the evolution of Cedar Park’s aerospace, space, and defense ecosystem,” said Cedar Park Chief Economic Development Officer Arthur Jackson. “We are moving beyond recruiting individual companies and intentionally building the supply chain around them. Bringing mission-critical finishing, coating, treatment, and testing capabilities closer to our advanced manufacturers strengthens the companies already here and makes Cedar Park more competitive for the next manufacturer, integrator, or defense contractor.”
Elite Metal Finishing’s selection of Cedar Park for its first manufacturing presence in the central United States also expands the company’s geographic reach while positioning its capabilities closer to aerospace and defense customers across Texas and the central U.S.
The project supports Cedar Park’s broader economic development strategy of cultivating industry clusters that generate quality employment opportunities, attract private investment, and create a stronger, more diversified commercial tax base.
